Studio Reports: Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam Recording with Michael Einziger of Incubus for New Album
Update: A rep for Pearl Jam has told Spin that Einziger did not record with Pearl Jam.
Our latest bit of Pearl Jam new album news (and rumors) comes from the Twittersphere.
Apparently, guitarist Mike Einziger of Incubus was in the studio with Pearl Jam last night somewhere in Los Angeles, laying down strings (!) for PJ’s new material.
In addition to the picture above, Einziger tweeted the following:
In the studio with my girl and Eddie Vedder, recording strings for Pearl Jam’s new album :) twitter.com/MichaelEinzige…

At this rate, hearing that PJ is actually in the studio working on new music gives a bit of hope that we might see an album this year, as Mike McCready already said would happen.
Back in January, Eddie said things were ‘maybe halfway there’, so here’s hoping Einziger’s tweet is indicative of real progress. For Einziger, he’ll have plenty of time to do guest appearances on other bands’ albums for a while, especially with Brandon Boyd’s second solo record expected to come along sometime this summer.

wow…eddie is looking like an old man! i’m right be hind him :(
Mike NO está colaborando en un nuevo disco de Pearl Jam, su novia (Ann Marie Calhoun) tocará en un tema y Mike solo se detuvo a verla, por eso la foto.
