Studio Reports: The Flaming Lips
The Flaming Lips Are Remaking The First Stone Roses LP
As it turns out there are people living in Oklahoma who have heard of The Stone Roses.
The Flaming Lips fan site The Future Heart and has strung together evidence that indicates the freak rockers from middle America are remaking The Stones Roses eponymous 1989 debut. As with their remakes of Dark Side of the Moon and In The Court of King Crimson, the band has invited some special guest musicians into the recording studio. Helping Wayne and Company this time will be Stardeath, HOTT MT, New Fumes and more. You can check out some video of the recording session as well as a tweet from Wayne about the project down below.

While we don’t know when this project will see the light of day, we do know that The Flaming Lips will drop an album of new material on April 1st.
that fucking first Roses album is AWESOME….Many good memories, so many years ago…
