Studio Reports:  Green Day

Green Day’s Next Album(s) Might Not Suck

By Skwerl

Easy jokes aside, Green Day’s new tease of the first of three forthcoming albums sounds… pretty damn cool:

¡Uno! will be released on September 25th, to be followed in November and January by ¡Dos! and ¡Tre!, respectively.

The teaser video released today features a brief shot of working song titles, including Nuclear Family, Stay The Night, Carpe Diem, Let Yourself Go, Fell For You, Crushing Bastards, Teenage Blue / Angel Blue, Trouble Maker, See You Tonight, It’s Fuck Time, Stop When The Red Light…, Kill The DJ, Lazy [Boy?], Wild One, Makeout Party, and Drama Queen.

Meanwhile, On The Internet...

    I am so fucking pumped!!!!!

  2. Rory Biller says:

I’m of the opinion that it will likely still suck. Sounds like the new shitty Chili Peppers album or something.

This is one of those bands that I love until everybody shits all over their shit and makes me feel shitty about liking them. Then I feel jedi mind tricked into hating them for short periods of time. But when the excitement dies down I keep spinning em. So I’m pumped. I give them the benefit of the doubt every time. I’m glad to hear something that sounds different than the last two. Warning stands as my favorite album of theirs, and they went a little weird on that album, so if they go weird on this one, I’m sure Warning will have some competition.

Sounds like Josh Homme and Dick Dale wrote that shit for them. Very un-Green Day. The coolest shit Billy Joe ever did was (supposedly) go to an Operation Ivy show when he was a kid.
