Studio Reports: The Killers
The Killers Announce New Album ‘Battle Born’
The Killers will return with a new album called Battle Born sometime in the fall. In an interview with Rolling Stone, frontman Brandon Flowers revealed the source of the album’s title, which is also a nod to their personal recording studio:
“In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better.”
Heavy stuff, huh? We’ll leave the Mormon jokes alone this time.
This will be their first album since 2008′s Day & Age, but despite the gap between albums, there hasn’t been any official word on whether or not they’ve figured out if we’re human or dancer.
As KNDD 107.7 reports, Battle Born was apparently produced by a slew of different names: Stuart Price, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor and Brendan O’Brien have all been attached to the project.
While we ponder that mystery ourselves and wait for more news about Battle Born, here’s a new song the band played in London last year. Perhaps it’s part of the new album…?

“In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better.”
What a vapid, meaningless thing to say. Not surprised that it’s coming from this most boring and empty of bands.

I agree.
