Cat Power Completes ‘Sun,’ Her Ninth Studio Album
Indie folk songstress Chan Marshall, aka Cat Power, took to Twitter last Friday to let her fans know that her ninth studio album is wrapped and set for release. The album will be called Sun and will drop September 11 of this year.

This good news should help tide over fans disappointed by Marshall’s decision to pull out of Coachella in order to finish her first album since 2008’s The Jukebox (which consisted primarily of covers). No word yet on whether King Rides By, the track she released in December in a joint effort with boxer Manny Pacquiao to raise money for two charities benefiting children, will be included on Sun:
Keep up with Cat Power at her website, Facebook and Twitter.
