Shows: Soundgarden
Watch Soundgarden Bring ‘King Animal’ To London
Last week, we brought you the stream for Soundgarden‘s brand new album King Animal. While that album has yet to properly sink in with a lot of listeners (especially given the amount of great music coming out recently), the band didn’t waste any time in taking the record straight to the stage. Last Wednesday in Germany, Soundgarden’s first gig in support of King Animal featured the live debuts of eight of the LP’s tracks; two days later, their set in London featured seven. Obviously, footage of the latter gig has hit the web.
Check out all of the King Animal tracks performed in London below:
Been Away Too Long
Black Saturday
Eyelid’s Mouth
Taree
Attrition
Rowing
Worse Dreams
The full setlist was as follows:
Been Away Too Long
My Wave

Let Me Drown
Room a Thousand Years Wide
Flower
Hunted Down
Drawing Flies
Incessant Mace
Blow Up the Outside World
Fell on Black Days
Loud Love

The Day I Tried to Live

(The gig in Germany included new tracks A Thousand Days Before, Blood on the Valley Floor and Non-State Actor, but no footage of that was found so far.)
King Animal is set for a November 13th release, and can be ordered over on iTunes or Amazon.
A few club dates in support of the record were already announced, and the band has scheduled a full-blown tour for early 2013.

I love the tease on black saturday when chris says “this song is the one with jesus in it (crowd cheers) not the one you’re thinking about” God now all I can think about is whether or not soundgarden could pull off a acoustic jesus christ pose!
