SXSW Live Shots: Brother Ali, Grieves & Budo, Nico Vega, Gary Clark Jr, Kimbra & More

By Johnny Firecloud

Coming off an amazing week in Austin at the SXSW festival, we’ve got some fantastic memories of countless musical experiences.

After catching a terrific return set from Fiona Apple, some amazing performances from Alabama Shakes, Dead Sara, Doomtree and more, we were proud to have witnessed Jack White’s Jekyll & Hyde set with two gender-split bands, blasting through old favorites and new gems with an incredible fire.

Check out our shots from the second half of our SXSW experience this past week, with sets from Nas (who ran through a passionate revival of his Illmatic album), Brother Ali, Grieves & Budo, Gary Clark Jr, Kimbra and more.

Bonus: check out a special moment from the performance, when Ali dropped a new a capella verse after the bass amp blew out:
