Great show, great article, great pictures. Thanks. I’ve seen QOTSA a few times and this was the best show I’ve ever seen. Having the Desert Sessions songs played was what I was hoping for, but I didn’t think they would. I was pleasantly surprised. I wish they would have played In My Head from Lullabies. It was one song that Natasha had some cool keyboard parts on. Thanks Josh for sending her off in style. It amazes me that there are Youtube videos of parts of the set as it was nearly impossible to sneak any recording gear in. But I guess in this day of cell phones, concert taping is fairly rampant.

even more telling that the show was all for Natasha was that they DIDN’T play Regular John… and that just always gets played. in fact, the only song they played off the first three albums was Go With the Flow. amazing amazing show. this was about my 12th time seeing them and it was definitely worth the trip down from Oakland. Gibbons no show was the only disappointment.

Skwerl, you seem to hit the nail on the head with everything you say. At least based on my personal tastes.

I’m glad you got the chance to go and relay the story to the world, because it is a show that more than a few people from outside LA wanted to go to.

Natasha was cool, I saw here on the Lullabies tour. A great send off with Long Slow Goodbye, and a good story.
