This album has been stuck in my car since it was released and “By Your Side” has been keeping it company for the past 2 weeks. Now that album may have some of Robinson’s best vocals. Love the depth of soul in that album. And hey I’ve got them at Club Nokia on Saturday.

Saw the Crowes at House of Blues in Orlando on Friday night & the boys were on fire! I’ve seen the band perform over 30 times now & this was their best performance ever. The addition of Luther & Adam has breathed new life into them & Chris & Rich both seem to really have fun on stage. The crowd was as enthusistic with the new stuff as they were with the more familiar hits. The Black Crowes are one of a kind & we’re lucky to have them around still playing from their roots and from their heart. The new album is awesome & reminiscent of The Band or Little Feat. The country flavor of Until The Freeze might not make everyone happy but listen to it a few times. It will grow on you. I’m so glad these road warriors are still keeping it real.

The new album was a bit of a surprise sound wise but that sound has integrity. The crowes never let us down.
They have heart and that what I’ve always loved about them. The only thing I miss are the two ladies with their soulful background vocals. Maybe next record EH?

Loved the review within a review. I liked the addition of the fiddle. I can’t get the melodies out of my head. Buy this CD, even if you are not a die hard Black Crowe fan, you can’t help but like this one.

After nearly 20 years, the Crowes’ 8th studio record hits us and gives us a refreshing smile. This delightfully adds to their outstanding material and does not disappoint in the least. That bluesy southern rock sound is as impressive as ever and is even expanded upon with country and folk-like themes. It comes as an 11 song disk, and 9 additional free tracks are downloaded off their website. The funny thing is that the later 9 are just as good as the others! There is a handful of songs that you can’t stop putting on repeat. Full of rich melodies, the music is truly outstanding and is performed brilliantly – a crowning achievement.
