These guys converted me into a Power Metal fan. I have not been able to find a band with blast beats (like death metal), catchy riffs, amazing solos, and such incredible true metal vocals (not growling or screaming) since. IF you know of any bands that combine those elements please speak up. Hit me up at dbayjay@gmail.com and let me know, I’m dying to hear them.
ZP can sing as beautifully Steve Perry from Journey and yes the drummer is way faster than Slayer ever was. It’s a pretty sick combination. The only thing close I’ve found is Heavenly. A great band for sure, but they do not play blast beats.
DragonForce has the potential to be one of the best bands of all time if they keep their anthems strong and improve on their lyrical content. A true original.

i just love how everyone has the time to go to a website about a band they dont even like and leave hate comments. wow, get a fucking life u losers! dragonforce is nothing like a joke. they are without a doubt the best metal band that has come in the 21st century. everyone believes it. not even mettalica can match dragonforce. their guitarist even said that he had no chance of EVER being as good as herman or sam. they’re just bad ass. they’re bringing the storm to the music scene. every metal band makes songs about satan or death or destruction and all that shit/ WHO CARES!!! dear god i have heard ENOUGH of that. every freaking band plays that kind of shit. then i hear dragonforce. up lifting lyrics, fast paced solos, not to mention the most bad ass musicians to be alive right now. but thats not all they do. they actually have fun while they’re playing. all of those other bands never have fun. they stand in the same place doing screamo and shit while the crowd watches. whenever i see a dragonforce concert, i see people in mosh pits, people crowd surfing, and people screaming their fucking hearts out with Zp theart as he sings through the fire and flames, ect ect. no one can match df live or in studio. why? cause no others band as more talented musicians. they are without a doubt the best band around. sure they’re not as big as the beetles, but they’re getting there. last time i checked, ultra beatdown attracted the most amount of people to every. show. they toured for almost 2 years and every show was fucking sold out. so none of yall can even talk about dragonforce cause yall obviously have no idea. so dont go spreading around any bullshit on how dragonforce “sucks”. get a fucking life and learn some facts before u start spreading shit around

I have no clue what’s wrong with you morons who think Dragonforce ISN’T a real band! Are you unable to think for yourselves and just go with the flow like a pack of dead fish? Do your mothers still dress you? Take a moment and THINK as difficult a concept as that may be for many of you.

99.99% of the time when people come forward with a GENIUINE complaint against DragonForce(Which is a rarity.)all they say is: “It all sounds the same.” What do I say to that? “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!” Speed is what GOT DragonForce to where it is! It’s what they’re KNOWN for. Them trying to do something else would be like Antonio Stradivari making potholders.

And “All they do is PLAY FAST!”? I DARE you imbeciles to go home and try playing like Herman Li WITHOUT getting broken fingers.

As for the cheesy lyrics…NO DUH! Camp is half the fun of metal! Dream Evil’s “The Book of Heavy Metal” anyone? Or how about Manowar?

I won’t say that this is DragonForce’s BEST album ever, I will freely admit it has it’s flaws, but it has it’s high points too! I’d be willing to bet MONEY that if half you dimwits heard “The Last Journey Home” WITHOUT knowing it was DragonForce you’d be all over it!

Mabye next time you miscreants should actually LISTEN to an album like semi-sentient beings, rather than make judgements based on the band. Manowar kills. Rammstein burns. DragonForce speeds.

thing with haters i that they take a flaw in a band and make it sound ten times as worse. Yeah, DF repeats lyrics, but whatever that SONG has meaning, the lyrics are only a portion of the song. Also anyone who thinks their fake is retarded not only does it clearly show how they made this album in a documentary, they go up and play it live every night. And no their songs do not sound the same, they have a distinctive sound that can make there songs instantly recognizable. And they did suck live, now they kick ass, ask anyone, hater or lover, they have to admit they have improved, though haters are too damn ignorant to admit anything. So really, fuck off, the fact u search this crap up to post bad shit on it means you lack a life. Also your probably a hypocrite cuz the band u may worship almost definatily shares a common problam with dragonforce

ps the album was good, I find each album possesses a different theme, this one did just that. Solid job

i love DF they are my fav band ever i cant stop listening to them, ok all the people out there who are saying their songs are all the same, please you cant tell me that the last journey home or inside the winter storm sound like the flame of youth or revolution deathsquad….hell no they dont sound the same. as for the lyrics, indeed cheesey but with ZP Thearts insanley mad voice backed by huge guitar riffs, mad drum beats and sick keyboarding, the whole package comes out as a fucking epic beast. any band who is cool enough to call themselves dragonforce and throw cd titles out as valley of the dammed, sonic firestorm, inhume rampage and ultra beatdown are are fucking badass beast with the musical and epic prowess they deliver. to all those hater piss off and dont listen to them simple as that.

In terms of the debate, you’re either going to love Dragonforce or hate them.

I wasn’t even aware they had a 2008 album out, but as a drummer I am always blown away by Dave Mackintosh’s speed, stamina, and fancy footwork.
