I see them again in november in Brussels for the third time and I’m not disappointed by them. There is, as always, someting happens between public and the band : magic and respect. Through all the thick and thin with past members like Josh McManness and Jon Hershey, they’ve grown to what they are now, and although this mite be another tour to some, its actually the evolution of August Burns Red themselves. They took a break to work and release leveler, which in my opinion is a great album, and this fan would love see them play because they always know how to put on a show and to hear their latest album live.

I must start this post with one word in mind, emotion. This simple 7 letter word. Your music lets me embark on an emotional journey as I listen to thrillseeker, messengers, constellations, and leveler. These four albums for me culminate into this rich path to enlightenment which peaks at leveler. What most people don’t understand about this type of music is that it’s not all about the screaming and the heavy riffs. Don’t get me wrong all that stuff is Awsome to me. But it’s deeper than that. Its about this connection you have with the music. And once those people who can’t stand metal throw their ego’s out the window than they will have the tools to listen to what ABR and many other bands are trying to say. And through all of ABR’s music I interpret it as them not telling us but asking us what we think and what we want and what the possibilities are if we just take the time to feel. Actually feel what it would be like to live in others shoes. (Cutting the ties) great example. BREAK FREEEE! P.s. really hope ABR will read this because I greatly appreciate your music and I have only been to one show but you guys killed it and so ever sense then I’ve been trying and trying.
Mary mother of God, I can’t describe how kick ass that poster is, nor can I describe now much I’d love to go see August Burns Red. Just to see Matt pounding the cans live would make my life. Definitely one of my favorite drummers. It would definitely be a dream come true to go see these guys, as they are one of my top bands I listen to. Anyone who doesn’t like them has something wrong with them, because they’re obviously the perfect band. Wonderful lyrics with br00tal vocals, shredding guitar riffs, and absolutely crushing drums. These guys know how to make good music and I would love to experience their live performance.

so i saw august burns red live on march 3rd with I, the breather and Texas in july and let me tell you it was fucking amazing. they have been my favorite band(or as my friend and i like to say my “reason for life”) for all of about 3 years. i have DESPERATELY wanted to meet them!! if i did i literally might feint! J.B. Brubaker is the reason i play guitar today and the reason i got so into the type of music i play. jake is the reason i started taking on unclean vocals, brent is one HELL of a rhythm guitarist and showed me its alright to not take the lead (showed me to be a humble musician) dustin is one of the craziest metal bassists out there, along with his screams which are sexy as anything and couple great with jakes “in your face” style. and last but not least matt greiner, he is one of the craziest drummers out there today! i absolutely ADORE ABR with all of my heart and would do ANYTHING to go to one of their shows again. it would be like another dream come true!

It’s not often they come to my area, or any really good shows, but for once there’s a good tour. It would be really great if I won, and If not, it’s okay. I would love to go see August Burns Red because they were the first Metal show i ever went to and they completely blew me away. I couldn’t listen to any music after the show for over a week because it couldn’t compare to how good it sounded. They are my absolute favorite band!

August Burns Red is one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. I caught them in Nashville last January, and the energy/excitement/adrenaline rush their set gave me was more than enough to carry me on my two and a half hour drive home. I waited for three hours in the cold to see them, and would gladly do so again. Killer band and an inspiration to all people who play insturments.
Roses are red, some violets are blue, ABR is amazing, so Milwaukee needs you!
ABR has literally gotten me through some hard times and has helped me in so many ways. They continue to make great music and keep pushing things forward.
Messengers album saved my life and the show I’m planning to go to is the week of my birthday. I’m taking my bud who introduced me to them to celebrate with me. and this will be his lady-friends first metal concert. so stoked.
