Cat Power Breaks Down In Front of Kids in ‘Funny or Die’ Video
One of the most volatile and affecting figures in modern music is without a doubt the wonderful Cat Power. Chan Marshall’s fragility is never concealed from her audience, and it is expressed through song as well as her usually detached demeanor on stage. But her honesty is all very beautiful too.
Though battling health concerns, not to mention probable bankruptcy, Chan Marshall’s good spirits is quite heartening. She’s managed to maintain her sense of humor throughout it all, as seen in this very self-aware Funny Or Die video, in which she plays an exaggerated version of herself, poking fun at her much-noted meekness and emotionality when performing.
