Rolling Stones Release New Single ‘Doom And Gloom’

By Steven Anthony

The Rolling Stones have just released a new single from their upcoming GRRR! greatest hits collection.

Doom And Gloom is pretty much textbook Stones’ material, but it definitely works. Not sure if it’s compelling enough to inspire fans to purchase the 5,000,000th greatest hits configuration, but check it out below and make your decision:

Rumors have also been circulating that the Stones are set for a few shows in the near future. In an interview with Q Magazine, Keith Richards let slip that they’ve got a few shows scheduled. “We’ve got some shows in London, I believe, and in New York, but I really can’t talk about any of that at the moment. They’ve put the gag on me on this. You can hint!”

He continued on talking about the band’s rehearsals. “Everybody relies upon their instincts, especially once you start working regularly together again. Because it pulls all the bits and pieces together, which when you’re not working and playing with the guys, dissipates, obviously; you’re not having that immediate contact. But kind of two days of hanging around with the guys again, a certain demon energy takes over and you wonder where it’s coming from!”

Whether or not it actually happens we’ll have to wait and see. Check out RollingStones.com for more info about the new greatest hits collection.

  1. “Whether or not it actually happens”? They’re playing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
