Railroad Revival Tour Cancelled

By Steven Anthony

The Railroad Revival Tour, originally set to feature headline performances from Willie Nelson and Band of Horses, has been cancelled.

Organizers have pulled the plug on the touring festival, which was designed to hit major rail stations throughout the United States. They posted the following announcement on their website:

It is with extreme regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2012 Railroad Revival Tour. The decision to do so was a difficult one, but it was determined that certain complications would not permit us to host the shows in the manner intended, and that the bands and fans deserved.

It was going to be a fairly unique tour, so it’s a shame to see it get canned. A few Tweets sent out by the festival seem to indicate that it may be back next year.
