Watch Reignwolf Rock KEXP’s Capital Hill Block Party
Blues rock has taken center stage thanks to acts like The Black Keys and Gary Clark Jr., among many, many others. With a slight warble and just enough fuzz, the genre has turned into a rocking nod to the past with all eyes towards the future, so who better than 27-year-old Jordan Cook to continue to carry that torch?
Reignwolf, who we’ve previously shown some Antiquiet love to back in May, recently rocked the hell out of KEXP’s Capitol Hill Block Party coverage. Backed by a drummer and bassist to fill out his sound, Reignwolf was electric starting off with an almost Slash-esque intro leading into the gritty “Old Man.” “In The Dark,” which first debuted on KEXP way back when, was a sexy lovelorn jam. Though this was only “about the fourth time” it had been played, Cook and company were more than polished.
Reignwolf recently played at this year’s Sasquatch! Music Festival and is set to play Bumbershoot in September. Catch his entire KEXP performance courtesy of their blog:

He’s got talent, but when he plays the blues it still feels outdated. ‘Palms’ sounded good, though.
Gonna go check out Bruno and his credentials on facebook now. There probably won’t be anything to report back….
Shit man,how can you play the blues without it making you feel outdated? That guy has some balls, and listening to him makes me feel being updated, outdated and being prepared for future shitty pit bull music…
