News: Mark Lanegan
Listen to Mark Lanegan Cover The Velvet Underground and Captain Beefheart
While the Nick Cave-written film Lawless had been mostly under our radar until recently, its soundtrack just managed to grab our attention with three tracks featuring Mark Lanegan on vocals.
Starring Shia LaBeouf, Bane (aka Tom Hardy) and Gary Oldman, the movie is set in the Prohibition-era, and features an appropriately instrumented soundtrack. Scored by Nick Cave and composer Warren Ellis, the soundtrack is performed by a band called “The Bootleggers”, and features Mark Lanegan singing on three of its tracks. Listen to them below:
