The Bronx Covered The Decemberists, and I Just Came
When a band you love covers another band you love, it’s like a three-way in which everyone has something to do at all times.
The Onion’s A.V. Club does this thing where bands come in, and pick songs off a list of classics to cover. Once a song has been covered by one band, it’s crossed off the list and permanently retired. Most are mediocre, and some are horrible, but some are cool, and sometimes Mariachi El Bronx covers The Decemberists’ Los Angeles I’m Yours.
