The Kills Plan ‘Dream & Drive’ Photo Book Release
Having recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, The Kills are planning to release a couple of commemorative items this year. Besides the previously announced concert film, the band will also come out with a special photography book, entitled Dream & Drive
As The Audio Perv reports, the band’s longtime collaborator Kenneth Cappello took over twenty thousand photos of the band, both on and off stage, throughout nine years, in order to compile the book. Singer Alison Mosshart had the following to say of the release: ”These are photos of locomotion. Silent visions of things turned up past their load. The tremble of the nightclub, the dive of backstage temporaries, electricity flung like paint through space, the FACE, the posture, the vehicle that hounds the road, sweats. I know when we’re looking straight on, we’re looking straight through. And I suppose it’s the drift and swing, that shows you who you are, and that music is a force and really is, all it’s cracked up to be. These photos make me remember everything.”
Dream & Drive is set to be released on August 16th (September 4th in the US), and can be ordered here. A sample of photos from the book can be viewed here.
The Kills are currently on tour across Europe, and will be back to the US for a few dates in August. The dates are as follows:
