Ryan Adams Breaks The Internet With ‘Live After Deaf’ On-Sale
Earlier this week we told you about the limited edition Ryan Adams live vinyl collection Live After Deaf. The 144 song 15 vinyl disc collection was set to go on sale today at 1:30 pm EST via Adams Pax Am website. However that was not the case as Adams rabid fan base crashed multiple websites hours before the 13 pound box set was set to go on sale.
For hours fans rapidly hit refresh upon their web browsers in hopes that the Pax Am Records or Kung Fu Records websites would return. Adams kept fans up to date on the process throughout the day via twitter as you can see below.
Way to break the interwebz. Here’s a direct link to buy Live after Deaf bit.ly/ORW6CI the box set will be live here. Refresh in 15min

Finally at approximately 4:45pm EST today, Kung Fu Records broke the news to fans that the set would now go on sale on Monday. Here is their statement with details on how you can pick up Live After Deaf on June 18th:
Dear Ryan Adams fans, we apologize for the technical problems with the sale of Live After Deaf. The sale will be postponed until Monday, 4pm est. We will work with our hosting company over the weekend to ensure the problems are rectified well before then. We realize that a great deal of time was wasted by people clicking refresh for hours, and we were right there with you clicking refresh and pulling out our hair. We accept full responsibility for these problems and we ask for your understanding as we promise to make Monday a much better experience. Please see http://site.paxamrecords.com/news/ for full details.
Pax Am Records has also issued a statement on the chaos:
Live after Deaf UPDATE:
NEW DATE AND TIME OF RELEASE
MONDAY JUNE 18th – 4:00 pm EDT
All of us at Pax-Am are REALLY SORRY that the servers crashed + the release got so screwed up.
Our digital partners Kung Fu Nation & The Uprising Creative were not expecting such a high demand and therefore both kung fu and pax-am sites shit the bed. Hard.
We are rescheduling this release so people can get away from their computers, have a nice weekend & we can fix the site problems once and for all.
Once again, all of us apologize for the inconvenience. Sorry. We love you.
Best of luck to everyone who will once again try to drop $130 + Shipping fees on Monday.

I think I’ll just wait until someone downloads the damn thing, balls.
