Doomtree Delivers Psycho-Steampunk ‘Beacon’ Video
Have we seen enough of the Erykah Badu/Wayne Coyne nudity spat? Did we get our fill of Alicia Keys’ midget picture? Yes? Good, because it’s time to get back to the real shit.
The Doomtree collective – frontlit by members P.O.S. and Dessa – have premiered their latest video, this time for the track Beacon, on MT2 this morning. It’s a steampunk/industrial look to accompany a mighty fine track from last year’s fantastic No Kings album.
If you know what’s good for you, you’re going to pay attention here.
The Minneapolis Hip-Hop collective released their last album No Kings entirely by themselves on their own self-titled label last November, and have been throwing devastating rhyme volleys on stages around the world in support.
Doomtree’s origins are a decade deep, dating back to 2001 when a handful of friends fresh out of high school hatched a plan to make a life out of the passion that’d carried them that far. With wings and teeth, the outfit is only getting stronger.

P.O.S. has a solo album coming out this Fall. Keep up with that and other Doomtree news at the group’s official site.

No Kings is a fantastic album and streets ahead of what the have released individually.
