James Iha Releases Melancholy New Song ‘To Who Knows Where’

By J.B. Scott

Former Smashing Pumpkins & A Perfect Circle guitarist James Iha released a new solo song called To Who Knows Where, as a sampling from his new album. Listen to the track over at Rolling Stone.

The song was culled from Iha’s upcoming second solo album, Look To The Sky. It will be his second foray into solo artist territory, coming fourteen years after the release of his 1998 debut Let It Come Down.

A moody cut with shimmery guitars, Iha calls To Who Knows Where the “darkest” song on the new album. As he told Rolling Stone:

“My first record was definitely more on the quieter acoustic side, more singer-songwriter. With this record, I tried to make it more of a variety. There’s a little bit of rock stuff, there’s quieter acoustic stuff, there’s more new wave-y pop stuff.”

Stay tuned for more news about Iha and his new record.
