Sigur Rós Streaming New Album ‘Valtari’ Around the World Today

Sigur Rós is set to release their sixth studio album Valtari on May 29th here in the States (and on the 28th for the rest of you), and they’re giving the world a sneak peak all day today.

At 7pm local time around the globe, fans of the Icelandic ambient rockers can hear Valtari in its entirety, streamed on the band’s website. Jónsi and company deemed the event the “Valtari Hour” and are asking fans to use the Twitter hashtag #valtarihour.

Three of the album’s eight songs have already been released by the band (at least in some form), and you can hear them all below as you wait for 7pm to arrive, wherever you call home.
