News:  Prince

Prince Goes Down Under with Flavor Flav & Seal

By Steven Anthony

Prince landed down under for his “Welcome to Australia” tour this past week, bringing with him the New Power Generation (that’s the NPG, natch) and his over the top symbol-shaped stage. While the main shows are always good, occasionally Prince busts out an aftershow so ridiculous that we can’t help but share some of the info with you.

At the tour’s first aftershow in Sydney’s Ivy Ballroom on the 13th, Prince really surprised attendees when none other than Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav joined him on stage for a take on 911 Is A Joke. Watch below as Prince straps on a bass while Flavor Flav takes over on the mic.

A few tracks later Seal joined the band on stage for a few songs, including a searing take on the Raspberry Beret b-side She’s Always In My Hair. Check that out below.

Other relative rarities performed at the aftershow included covers of Rihanna’s Rude Boy, Janet Jackson’s What Have You Done For Me Lately and the Sign of the Times favorite I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man.

But dont try to cover any of his songs. You’ll get a purple C&D.
