Behind The Scenes of Pink Floyd’s 2011 Reunion
One year ago, the surviving members of Pink Floyd surprised a London audience by making a short, but significant onstage reunion. The event occurred on May 12th, during Roger Waters’ tour of Floyd’s classic record The Wall, having guitarist David Gilmour join him for a performance of Comfortably Numb, as well as drummer Nick Mason for the acoustic show-closer Outside The Wall. A full year later, some great behind the scenes footage of the reunion has been released.
The video contains captures some great moments of the musicians interacting, such as Gilmour rehearsing his guitar solo while Waters tells him to “try not to dive off” from the top of the wall. Given how Pink Floyd famously parted ways in animosity back in the 80′s, the footage is borderline cuddly. Watch below:
And for those who missed the actual songs performed by the reunited group, here they are:
Comfortably Numb:
Roger Waters’ tour of The Wall recently returned to the US for what is presumably its final run.

Emotional. Truly emotional. It’s really an awesome personal feat for all of them. I’m sure Rick was there in some way as well.
Timeless. Truly timeless. Gratitude.
Greatest band of all time.
Amazing! Such talent! Wish I could have been there. I love you David!!!
