Aerosmith Swing For The Fences on ‘Legendary Child’

By Johnny Firecloud

You don’t even need to hear this to know what it sounds like. Aerosmith have a new album coming this year, called Music From Another Dimension. No word on whether Hennifer Yopez or Randy “Dog” Jackson will make cameos, but it’s the band’s clawing attempt to revitalize their cool in the eyes of a public who’s seen a graceless circling of the drain of sorts in recent years for one of Rock’s most charismatic frontmen.

While you wait for your radio station to temporarily replace their endless loop of Smells Like Teen Spirit (and truly, programmers, fuck you for that) with Steven Tyler & Co’s new jam, you can get used to it here. It’s called Legendary Child. It’s not bad, really. Good commercial-break music for the studio audience while the Idol crew gets their makeup touched up.

Music From Another Dimension will hit record stores on August 28th. Your dad’s going to be really amped about this.

Music From Another Dimension tracklist:

1. What Could Have Been Love

2. Beautiful

3. Street Jesus

4. Legendary Child

5. Oh Yeah

6. We All Fall Down

7. Another Last Goodbye

8. Out Go the Lights

9. Love Three Times a Day

10. Closer

11. Shakey Ground

12. Love a Lot

13. Freedom Fighter

14. Up on the Mountain

I like the reference to “Walk This Way.” that’s probably the highlight of the song for me

“Your dad’s going to be really amped about this.” You read my mind.

    A great riff wasted.

By the way, I am probably in the “dad” demographic and this is disappointing. “Just Push Play” part II from what I can hear.
