News: Alabama Shakes
Watch Alabama Shakes’ Show From NYC’s Webster Hall
After killing it at SXSW and across their native South, Alabama Shakes swung through New York to kick off a short tour of the Northeast before heading to Europe. The band played the Studio at Webster Hall, an intimate room in the downstairs of the legendary venue, which features a state-of-the-art recording studio and holds only 300 people. MTV Hive was there to record the show, and needless to say, the Shakes tore the roof off the place. Check out the entire gig below:
If you haven’t already, be sure to read our review of the band’s debut LP Boy & Girls, which came out yesterday on ATO Records.
Alabama Shakes plays the Bowery Ballroom tonight, and then heads over to Brooklyn to play the Music Hall of Williamsburg tomorrow night. For more tour dates on both sides of the pond, head over to their website.
