Serj Tankian Releases Teaser Trailer For New Single ‘Figure It Out’

Good news for fans of Choose Your Own Adventure mail box snuff films. System of a Down front man Serj Tankian is using your favorite fetish to promote his upcoming solo record Harakiri. With the first single Figure It Out set to make its debut on May 1st, an interesting new teaser trailer for the jam has hit the World Wide Web.

Sporting an outfit that would make Sasha Baron Cohen’s Dictator proud, the teaser features Tankian committing a federal offense by kidnapping and torturing a mail box. Jumper cables, a noose and various home improvement tools take their toll on the patriotic letter holder as the hard rocking track blasts at maximum volume in the background. Around the 1:24 mark, the viewer is left with the choice to allow the mailbox to live or to die. Check it out for yourself down below.

Harakiri will be released July 10th on Reprise Records/Serjical Strike. Starting Tuesday May 1st, Harakiri will be available for pre-order on Tankian’s website and at iTunes, where the single “Figure It Out” will also be up for sale at iTunes.
