News:  Florence & The Machine

Florence Welch & Josh Homme Duet On ‘Unplugged’ LP

By Fernando Scoczynski Filho

After releasing last year’s CeremonialsFlorence & The Machine are now preparing their very first live album, in the form of  MTV Unplugged – A Live Album. As acoustic and live albums tend to please mostly the diehard fans, this one is set to draw a particular amount of attention, due to a special appearance by Queens of the Stone Age centerpiece Josh Homme.

As Florence’s official site reports, the live acoustic album album is comprised of tracks performed at a gig in New York, last December. For the track Jackson, she was joined on a duet by the equally-ginger Homme, who flew to NY specifically to perform the duet. While Jackson was composed by Jerry Leiber and Billy Edd Wheeler, the song was later made famous by Johnny & June Cash.

MTV Unplugged – A Live Album is set for a release on April 9th. Until then, watch Florence & The Machine’s recently released (and rather artsy) video for the song Never Let Me Go:

The tracklisting for the CD/DVD is as follows:

1. Only If For A Night
2. Drumming Song
3. Cosmic Love
4. Breaking Down
5. Never Let Me Gov 6. Try A Little Tenderness
7. No Light No Light
8. Jackson (feat. Josh Homme)
9. What The Water Gave Me
10. Dog Days Are Over
11. Shake It Out

Meanwhile, On The Internet...
