Beck Returns With ‘Looking For a Sign’
Beck has remained largely out of the spotlight since 2008’s magnificent Modern Guilt. Aside from a few production credits, and some sparse contributions to various film soundtracks, the songwriting virtuoso has been in the midst of his career’s longest gap in between albums. Thankfully, with whispers of a new record as well as an upcoming headlining gig at this year’s Sasquatch Festival, it seems quite feasible that the always-imaginative California-native may be reemerging once again.
In what will hopefully be the final stopgap before that long-pined-for studio album, Beck’s latest offering, Looking for a Sign, was released today as a part of the soundtrack to Jeff Who Lives at Home.
With sounds reminiscent of Beck’s absolutely timeless Sea Change, the marvelously folky song nicely complements the principally humane themes of the movie. And mostly importantly, it fulfills its purpose of pacifying our rabid ears for just a little while longer.
Sea Change is Becks masterpiece that should have won big at the Grammy’s but was hardly noticed that year.
So sad for Beck. Right now he is supposedly involved with some woman named heather cox who claims she is having an affair with him and that he is going through a divorce. As if being a rock star who isn’t doing quite as well anymore isn’t enough…supposedly he loves this heather cox so much he stalks her and will have sex with her in public bathrooms. so sad.
I heard the same thing about Heather Cox. She has been taking photographs that are quite obviously press stills and posting them all over her Facebook claiming she and beck are in love and spreading vicious rumors that Beck is “coursing for divorcing” his sweet wife whose Beck’s own mother delivered along with her twin brother and writing repulsive sexual tales (I heard the disgusting bathroom story as well) about Beck’s cheating on his wife as well as wanting to leave his religion for the mentally ill and delusional Heather Cox, who works for http://anabasispublishing.com/.
Heather Cox has also said that she is Harmony Korine’s half sister and MARRIED him, and was Vincent Gallo’s wife as well but her beat her. They both impregnated her, though no fetus or proof of either marriage or relation exists with either man. She is clearly a pathological liar. I just feel bad for Beck because he is obviously a sweet and very talented man who doesn’t deserve a sociopath with Borderline Personality Disorder casting aspersions against his character and I hope he can nip this in the bud because the woman has over 500 Facebook friends and the nasty tales are leaking everywhere. It’s appalling, especially for his wife and children.
I work for a radio station, and this Heather Cox is now posting stuff on our Facebook page about Beck and has even left a phone number for people to call her to discuss the issues at hand.
