News: Queens Of The Stone Age
Watch An Intimate Queens of The Stone Age Show From 2000
Every once in a while, we come across some treasures on the internet, in the form of rarely-seen/forgotten recordings of fine music – and it’s merely our duty to point your attention to them. This happened very recently, as a full concert by Queens of the Stone Age was uploaded to YouTube. The in-store performance was recorded at Vintage Vinyl in St. Louis, on August 13, 2000, showing a Rated R-era QOTSA, with Brendon McNichol, Nick Oliveri and Gene Trautman on the lineup, and it’s definitely worth checking out.
The surprisingly-solid footage includes such highlights as the song Millionaire in an early state, Josh Homme cracking jokes about Ozzfest, and jams like You Can’t Quit Me, Baby & Better Living Through Chemistry being molded into the epic, attention-stealing “battleships” that remain fan-favorites to this day. The footage comes courtesy of Lepers TV, a public access TV show from the late 90′s, which filmed and edited the show on the spot, with 3 cameras. Watch the full gig below:

Lepers TV’s YouTube Channel also includes other gems, like 20 minutes of Faith No More in 1997, and half-hour sets by Isis and a pre-Greg Puciato Dillinger Escape Plan (from when the 2 acts toured together in 2000), all worth having a look.
Queens of the Stone Age’s still-unannounced 6th LP is set to be released sometime this year.
Special thanks to the always-awesome QOTSAarchive YouTube Channel for pointing us to this video.

Fantastic stuff. QOTSA are always a winner, thank you very much.
They always have a picture of Brian Wilson on stage for some reason.
Sick setlist!
Josh Homme doesn’t seem to age like the rest of us
God save the Queens of the Stone Age!
