News:  Arctic Monkeys

Watch Arctic Monkeys’ 10-Minute Short For ‘Don Valley Bowl’

By Fernando Scoczynski Filho

Back in June, Arctic Monkeys performed two special homecoming gigs at the Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield, UK, featuring lengthy setlists. The concerts were filmed for a video release, and the band is teasing it with a great 10-minute short/possible DVD trailer.

The snazzy, filter-laden video features three full songs: Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair505 (including a special appearance by fellow UK musician Miles Kane), and Mardy Bum. Watch it below:

The release date for the Don Valley Bowl DVD has yet to be announced, because the DVD hasn’t been announced. But here’s to assumptions!

Arctic Monkeys embark on an US arena tour next year, supporting The Black Keys. The dates are as follows:

March 2 – Cincinnati, OH @ U.S. Bank Arena
March 3 – Detroit, MI @ Joe Louis Arena
March 4 – Columbus, OH @ Jerome Schottenstein Center
March 6 – Portland, ME @ Cumberland Co. Civic Center
March 7 – Boston, MA @ TD Garden
March 9 – Washington, DC @ Verizon Center
March 10 – Philadelphia, PA @ Wells Fargo Center

I can’t decide if the editing is cool or the worst thing I’ve ever seen…

Great band who play well live. Only problem I had with them is at times they can look a little bored and disconnected with the crowds. The Humbug album was fantastic but the live transition didn’t work as well as it should have.
