Watch As Corey Taylor Brings Covers Kaleidoscope To The HOB

By Steven Anthony

Slipknot and Stone Sour lead vocalist Corey Taylor has started on a solo trek across the United States, in support of his book Seven Deadly Sins. The show – which has proven remarkably compelling – revolves around an acoustic set, accompanied by a reading from the book and an audience question & answer session at each date.

Taylor hit Anaheim’s House of Blues last week on one of the first dates of the tour. The acoustic performance was heavy on covers, including a vocally phenomenal take on Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead Or Alive during which he gives his best impression of Jon Bon Jovi’s stage appearance but fucks up the lyrics towards the end, laughing about it with the crowd.

Wanted Dead Or Alive:

Taylor’s take on the early Nine Inch Nails classic Something I Can Never Have was another highlight, showcasing a complete style change for the track and giving his voice a chance to really shine.

Something I Can Never Have:
