News:  Dillinger Escape Plan

Mike Patton Joins Dillinger Escape Plan in SF

By Fernando Scoczynski Filho

Thursday night, at San Francisco’s The Warfield, The Dillinger Escape Plan were joined by a very special guest: Faith No More/Tomahawk/Fantômas frontman Mike Patton.

The group reprised their collaboration with Patton from the 2002 EP Irony Is a Dead Scene, recorded before DEP’s current lead singer (Greg Puciato) joined them. The song When Good Dogs Do Bad Things (which Patton co-wrote) was performed – watch footage of it below (via Blabbermouth):

And since we’re on the subject of this particular collaboration, here’s a couple of live videos from 2002, with Patton leading The Dillinger Escape Plan (both also from performances in San Francisco):

Like I Love You (Justin Timberlake cover)

Malpractice (Faith No More cover)

Faith No More’s re-reunion is set to happen very soon in South America, and we’ll be there to check it out. The Dillinger Escape Plan are currently touring the US with with Mastodon and Red Fang. Sounds like a hell of a way to spend an evening.
