News: Russian Circles
Listen To ‘Empros,’ Russian Circles’ Crushing Return
Two years ago, we recommended you gave Chicago post-rock trio Russian Circles a listen. While their third album Geneva sounded very good back then, they are now releasing their fourth LP, Empros – and it goes quite a bit beyond “very good”.
We strongly recommend you give the ass-kicking Empros a listen, as Russian Circles have made it available for streaming, and it’ll likely be very worth your while. Enjoy:
Empros is out now. You can buy a digital download of the record (and pay whatever you want for it, with a designated minimum amount). There’s also a good variety of physical formats available.
The band have an extensive US tour planned for November.
By the way, Russian Circles’ past three albums are also available to listen at their site.

“Pay what you want” as long as it’s $8.99 or more for 6 tracks? Yeah… no.
Those tracks are like 8 minutes long. Well worth it.
yeah it’s not like they’re 3 minute pop songs man. play it in your car REALLY loud and drive around, you’ll thank me. or crash and die. or drive through the maw of hell with a smile on your face.
This band goes hard, sure, but implying anyone who knows how mediafire and filesharing works would pay anything for a digital download in 2011 is silly.
If the record strikes you as something worth owning then sure, get your hands on a physical copy from the same source. But paying for a download that’s available for free elsewhere? That’s crazy talk
