Listen: R.E.M. Come Back From The Dead With ‘We All Go Back…’

By Fernando Scoczynski Filho

While R.E.M. may have called it quits last month, that doesn’t mean they’re done releasing new music yet.

Their upcoming, career-spanning compilation Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982 – 2011 will include 3 unreleased songs, A Month of Saturdays, Hallelujah and We All Go Back to Where We Belong – which were supposed to be on a follow-up to their last album, Collapse Into Now.

For those curious to have a listen at REM’s very final recordings, We All Go Back to Where We Belong has been made available for streaming. Listen to it below:

Hearing this song makes me so sad because I knew they could do one more amazing album (Accelerate and Collapse Into Now were amazing). When they called it quits, I saw a huge part of my childhood disappear along with them.
