Watch Pearl Jam’s Alternate ‘Better Man’ Video
The 25th anniversary of the annual Bridge School Benefit Concerts is getting proper honors with a retrospective DVD and CD set full of highlights from the remarkable performances over the years.
One particular clip from the DVD set, Bridge School frequenters Pearl Jam stepped up with an alternate take on their Better Man hit, with a different melody and instrumental arrangement. I couldn’t help posting it, not only because it’s been at least a week since there’s been a PJ-related post on Antiquiet, but because I was there, and it was fantastic:
Reprise Records is putting out the collection on October 24th, and it’s expected to include acoustic performances by superstars such as Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, R.E.M., Tom Petty, Metallica, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan and Neil Young.
All the proceeds will go the Bridge School charity.
Still waiting on high-quality audio of Trent Reznor’s performance. That was really unique.

My first Bridge show was in 96 cause of Pearl Jam. Made it every year through 2001. Truly an amazing event and each year I kick myself for not attending.
