News: Mazzy Star
Mazzy Star Returns, Plans Fourth LP
The duo of David Roback and Hope Sandoval, known as Mazzy Star, hasn’t released any material together since their third album in 1996, Among My Swan. However, a fansite recently revealed that the 15-year hiatus was finally coming to an end, with a new single out later this month.
Mazzy Star will release the double A-side of Common Burn / Lay Myself Down on October 31st. You can already listen to the second track here Pitchfork. Both tracks can be ordered here and here.
While Mazzy Star announced back in 2009 that they were still “together” and recording their fourth LP, it’s set to come out in 2012 – accompanied by a tour. We’re looking forward to it.
