News: Jane's Addiction
Jane’s Addiction Strength-Test Letterman’s Artificial Heart Valves
After the very pleasant surprise that was Jane’s Addiction‘s fourth LP, The Great Escape Artist, the band has been trying out these great new songs on the road.
Last night, they hit The Late Show With David Letterman, and obliterated any doubt that this material can be pulled off in a live setting. Watch the fuzz-pedal-infused, effects-heavy Underground – with the added bonus of choreographed dancing and lasers:
Jane’s Addiction currently have a few tour dates scheduled for the US. You can go right ahead and pick up The Great Escape Artist here.
Thanks to The Audio Perv for providing the video.

I’m no big fan of this band, but almost every aspect of this was very very cool. The one thing that wasn’t was Perry. He still isn’t using quite enough effects to hide the fact that he can’t sing.
Perry can sing his fucking ass off, and I’ve got two dozen front and center live experiences to attest to that fact. However, the reliance on the wash of vocal effects in the chorus is really hard to handle.
Perry’s in his 50′s, theres been a slew of reality TV bullshit from them and they look like the makeup team had a week on them but, the new record is killer and live, they sound so damn good.
Great! you doing an extraordinary work and skillful execution plans..
