News: Pearl Jam
Watch Pearl Jam’s MSG ‘Betterman’ Clip in PJ20 Countdown
Alright, now I’ve got goosebumps. I’m ready for this. The next 20 days are a musical variation of the 12 days of Christmas for Pearl Jam fans, today being the kickoff of the “20 Days of Pearl Jam Countdown” in anticipation of the release of the band’s documentary and soundtrack.
Pearl Jam Twenty is a celebration of the band’s two decades together, a documentary directed by Cameron Crowe which will make its debut in select theaters on Sept. 20 followed by a full run beginning Sept. 23.
Each day from now until the film’s release, the band will post a new exclusive piece of content, starting things off with a powerful performance of Better Man at Madison Square Garden in New York City May 21, 2010, complete with a lengthy partial-tag of Save It For Later by The English Beat. Check it out (and watch out for Mike’s ridiculous guitar work):
Keep up with the PJ Countdown over at PJ20.com.
Pearl Jam Twenty includes footage gathered from more than 1,200 hours of rare & unseen footage, in addition to over 24 hours of recent interviews with the band and live footage from Pearl Jam’s shows. The film will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 10, before making a television premiere Oct. 21 as part of the PBS “American Masters” series. The DVD will be released worldwide Oct. 25.
Along the way through the celebration, tens of thousands of fans like myself will head out to the fields of Wisconsin for the PJ20 festival, featuring Pearl Jam, Queens of The Stone Age, The Strokes, Liam Finn and many others, as well as a few surprises we’re not quite able to believe until we actually witness.

I was at this show, best concert experience of my life (and that’s saying a lot). I’ve never heard something so loud as the crowd after Eddie wiped his ear, the fucking building felt like it was shaking just from everybody’s voice.
That should say tear, not ear
love it. but why does Mike and Stones hair change from shot to shot? this must be audio from MSG cut with footage from MSG and another gig? perhaps they didn’t have any shots from Stones side…?
