News:  Kasabian

Hear Kasabian’s New B-Side, ‘Pistols At Dawn’

By Reverend Justito

Typically B-sides are the songs that are simply not good enough to make it on an album. With their fourth full length Velociraptor set to hit shelves at the end of the month, Kasabian have just released an exception to the rule: Pistols At Dawn.

The flip side to the Days Are Forgotten single, Pistols At Dawn features beefy low end, crashing symbols and an enchanting chorus that is instantly stuck in the listeners head. One must ponder if a track that could easily get airplay across the world isn’t good enough to make the new album then just what are we in store for when Velociraptor sees the light of day?

In additional Kasabian news, the band is set to perform for the first time in the United States since 2006. Having wrapped a successful run of European festivals, the band shared with The Sun that they will perform a rooftop concert in New York City in honor of the ten year anniversary of 9/11 terrorist attacks. For those who can’t make it to New York City next week, the band is expected to return for additional North American performances in 2012.

An exclusive digital release of Velociraptor will be released stateside September 20th with the full physical album set for release on September 27th. Kasabian is set to headline a 10 date arena tour in their native United Kingdom in December, culminating with two nights at the massive 02 Arena in London.
