Decemberists Set ‘Long Live The King’ Release
Ladies and Gentlemen it’s time to break out your Dictionary.com smart phone app, as The Decemberists are about to unleash a new EP onto the world.
Set to be released on November 1st via Capital Records, Long Live The King will feature songs that didn’t make the final cut from the bands most recent LP The King Is Dead. Per the bands press release, the EP from Portland Oregon’s favorite indie-folk rockers will feature mostly acoustic Americana-based material. In addition to five original numbers from The Decemberists, Long Live The King will feature a cover of the Grateful Dead’s 1973 opus Row Jimmy. Showing up sporadically in the band’s live set over the past year, it will be interesting to see Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter collaboration.
