Chris Cornell Details ‘Songbook’ Album

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has announced plans to release an album of live Songbook Tour performances on November 21, under the apt title Songbook.

Universal Music will distribute the set, which will feature Cornell’s solo music as well as a handful of tracks from albums he’s made with Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and a few obligatory covers. Additionally, Cornell’s new song The Keeper, off the soundtrack to the movie Machine Gun Preacher, will close the album. Check out that song here.

All fans who purchase Songbook Tour tickets online will receive a digital copy of the album with each order.

    I’ve got a solo performance from Sweden, as I am sure others do, and it is killer. Looking forward to this. Been playing Soundgarden alot this past summer, and more frequently since I saw them in Philly. Dude can still sing his arse off.
