The first new video from Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ I’m With You album has arrived, with the band playing a rooftop performance in Venice Beach. Watch it.
This was apparently the second take on the video, after shitilicious rap chick Kreayshawn made a first attempt that the band rejected. This is them going in “a different direction”. The song, however, is dog shit. We are looking forward to August 30 (I’m With You’s release date) with great trepidation.
It’s a shame they couldn’t take more influence on this album from the band named on the hat Anthony Keidis is wearing in the video. (That would be OFF!)

I don’t know man, after a couple listens I’ve grown a weird kind of fondness for it. With you on the trepidation part though. This thing could turn out great or craptacular pretty fucking easily without john on board, but I’m trying to keep optimistic
They don’t just forget how to write great music. Josh is incredible. It will be a phenomenal album!
Proof they’re not comfortable with the new guy: the cowbell is louder in the mix than the guitar.
That’s cuz the cowbell is the coolest part of the song.
