Listen To A Song From Reznor’s ‘Dragon Tattoo’ Score
“It begins,” read Trent Reznor’s Twitter feed only hours ago. The tweet was accompanied by a link to the official website for David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, which the Oscar-winning duo of Reznor and Atticus Ross have been scoring for the better part of 2011. The surprise, however, was layered underneath the dark and disconsolate exterior of the website: a new, as-of-yet untitled 7-minute song playing in the background.
You can listen to the compelling song here, which preserves the trademark sound of Reznor and Ross while keeping to their promise of a score completely dissimilar from the superb sounds of The Social Network. Based on this sample alone, one can recognize the duo delving into moodier and more ambient territories as looming noises prey in the background while also swelling and escalating towards a murkier, bleaker terrain. In other words: It’s perfect for a David Fincher film.

not too sure about that movie as the original is probably better, but that track is quite good, it has reznor’s trademark all over.
Fincher is always spot on. i’m sure this will be a fine film.
Fincher WAS always spot on, he really lost it after panic room and now he only seems to be looking for an oscar. Don’t get me wrong, he still is better than 99% of the shite that’s out of Hollywood but not quite there anymore. Plus Hollywood remakes are usually total waste anyways so…
I will not see it… The trilogy is perfect as it is…. The score is intriquing, however.
