New From Ryan Adams: ‘Lucky Now’
In January of 2009, Ryan Adams broke up his band The Cardinals and retired from the music industry. Since his self-imposed supposed departure from the biz, the singer/songwriter has started his own record label (PAX AM), released a trippy sci-fi influenced thrash metal record (Orion) and married fellow musician/actress Mandy Moore. On October 11, Adams will release Ashes & Fire his first solo record since 2005.
The album’s first single Lucky Now is now available for your listening pleasure.
Just shy of three minutes long, Lucky Now is a return to the Country-Alt Rock style that Adams locked down well over a decade ago. Soft acoustic guitar strums and pedal-steel guitars serve as a perfect backdrop for the musicians’ reflective lyrics of a bleak reality while never giving up hope.
On the heels of a successful run through Europe earlier this summer, Adams has already sold out a brief solo run of West Coast theatres this Fall. On August 16th, Adams posted to his Facebook page that many more dates will be added after the record drops.

‘Lucky now’ I’m deaf so I can’t expose myself to this shit.
Deaf Jeff, you are such a deluded a-hole.
