News: Pearl Jam
Check Out Pearl Jam’s 10th Anniversary ‘Crown of Thorns’
There are moments in life that you know, as you’re living them, that you will never forget the wash of amplified nuance, the enhanced color and feeling unfolding before and around you. One such moment occurred on October 22, 2000 at Pearl Jam‘s show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, when the Seattle grunge survivors paid a lengthy homage to Andrew Wood, the late frontman of PJ precursor Mother Love Bone. The show marked the tenth anniversary of the band’s very first appearance, at Seattle’s Off Ramp Cafe, and the song – widely known as MLB’s signature track – struck a deep chord among the nostalgic diehards. I was there to witness it firsthand.
Listen below to the 10/22/2000 version of Crown of Thorns, which is a part of the sountrack to Cameron Crowe’s upcoming Pearl Jam Twenty documentary (watch the trailer):
Pearl Jam Twenty hits cinemas September 20th - pre-order the soundtrack now.

They sounded so good on that take, I was wondering what year it was from when I heard it yesterday. Makes sense that it was from a 2000 tour. Really can’t wait for this soundtrack now
that is, now that I know that it’s not a gussied up greatest hits collection
What, no Chloe Dancer? Blah!
I was there :-)
