I just don’t understand what folks see in this band. They more or less bore me. With tix to Outside Land and the Hollywood Bowl, perhaps it’s all about the live show? Even with Homme on board, I just don’t get it.
Why does it not surprise me that a Phish fanatic is bored by Arctic Monkeys?
I mean sure, it’s better than Vampire Weekend but at least Phish has an edge. This jam gets me pumped up for a night of Root Beer Floats and Family Matters reruns.
I’m just the opposite right now man…listening to this album has just made me want to listen to all their albums even more. I doubt there is a band I’ve listened to more this year than the Arctic Monkeys…even QOTSA
A matter of taste, darling. I don’t know what’s about half of the bands on antiquiet nowadays, but what the hell, it’s just rock n’ roll. Some like ‘em, some don’t. Now, this one I love.
