The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie is the first single from the Peppers’ forthcoming 10th studio album, I’m With You, due out on August 30th.
Yeah, it’s about what I expected. Anthony’s dreadful vocals over a Flea/Chad heavy groove with very limited splooge from Josh. Oh and the cow bell needs to go.

Did I just hear a cow bell in this song? Haha This song was 4:43 way too long for no reason. A fade out would’ve done it justice than to hear them go on. Wasn’t feeling the verses or the bridge…the chorus sounds like every Chili Pepper chorus I”ve heard way to many times already! If this is the single, i’ll have to pass on the rest of the album.
I like it, it’s catchy and has a nice groove.
No mention of California. Shocking. In other news, RHCP sounds like they’re old now.

The cowbell is the coolest part of the song you weirdos. Certainly nothing else about the song really stands out in any way.

I’m not gonna say the song is good, but I will say the chorus is beatles-esque with that piano backbone and harrison-sounding lead guitar part. I’m still optimistic for the album. This is kind of underwhelming though.

You all need to calm down. ITS A SINGLE. Its not supposed to be the best song in the world. Look at Dani California, that song was pretty bad, but Stadium Arcadium was amazing.
Disagree…loved Dani California…and thought Stadium Arcadium was average at best.
i just dont know, i was really expecting to hear this rhcp+josh and hoping not to be something like the navarro fiasco, but this song is just uninspired, cool bass line and guitar textures, but ..i just dont know, maybe the rest of the album is better, but im affraid that without frusciante rhcp are destined to keep writing the same song over and over again..

Frusciante is irreplaceable obviously but I’m going to give this album some time before I pass judgment. It took me a long time to get into Blood Sugar Sex Magik and now it’s my favorite album (and that was WITH frusciante so this might take even longer. still excited for new RHCP material :D )
I am not a big fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers but I actually liked this song. It is catchy and not too bad. They HAVE done alot worse.
so sick. and im sure the rest of the album will be just as good. im happy to hear it wasnt a copy of stadium… i loved stadium, but i wanted to hear something new. and they did it. josh brought back the blood sugar feel but kept the calmness of late stadium songs. very fresh, im sure the rest of the album is even better. cowbell is funky too
I hate it when people get all pissed of when a band brings out new songs, it seems to happen all the time. Why don’t you just fucking suck it up, this song is awesome, has a mad groove and is catchy. You should be excited to hear the rest of the album. And if you then choose to still be a stubborn piece of shit then feel free, but give them a chance.

The verse is awesome. You people who don’t agree are more than likely ‘Nickelback’ listeners. Not liking the chorus which is the only arguable portion of the song. These guys play there music live without a click track. Nobody does that anymore because musicians today for the most part, are pussy’s. The album will be great! Flea, Josh, and Chad, are some of the best at what they do. What makes you dorks think that these three outstanding musicians could put out anything short of incredible? The stupidity of the general public always amazes me.

This song sucks big. It looks just like Justin Bieber songs: senseless verses that make sexual analogy to some random whore ( Maggie, in this case ). In other words, it appeals to sexuality without any other content. It is just lame like that ( not saying sex is lame, but this song was built around sex, thinking that putting some girl as the purpose of the lyrics justifies anything that is written )
