News: Mark Lanegan
Listen To Mark Lanegan’s ‘Deep Black Vanishing Train’
Late last year, we found out that Mark Lanegan was finally beginning to work on his seventh solo album, a long-awaited follow-up to his excellent 2004 effort Bubblegum. Ever since, the only other bit of news regarding the new record came in the form of a new song, Burning Jacob’s Ladder.
However, that changed recently, as Mr. Lanegan played an acoustic gig at LA’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where he debuted a new song, entitled Deep Black Vanishing Train. Check out a (very dark) video of the performance below:
And while we’re mentioning new songs, Burning Jacob’s Letter was also performed:
There’s no tentative release date for the album so far, though we do know that its set to feature Alain Johannes and “the usual” collaborators from his previous solo efforts.
Thanks to YouTube user TheRiverRise for the videos. His channel features a lot of other videos from the same gig.

finally lanegan. hope this album comes out soon..been waiting a long time
Very nice. Something about the darkness of the video adds an extra bit of coolness to the song. Can’t wait for the new album
