Kanye Unveils Final-Cut ‘Monster’ Video

By Morad Moazami

Six months ago, an unfinished version of Kanye West’s Monster music video leaked onto the internet. The song, like most of Kanye’s actions, wasn’t short on controversy, with Change.org penning a lengthy commentary, voicing their disapproval for the video’s “desensitized and callous attitudes toward violence against women”. The website also blamed West and the video for promoting “the barbaric treatment of women” among other accusations that while crucial in almost any other situation, doesn’t make much sense when called upon a dude that sings about his dick all the time.

Regardless, half a year after its unofficial release, the finished version of Monster is now available. The video also features a preemptive disclaimer that “The following content is in no way to be interpreted as misogynistic or negative towards any groups of people. It is an art piece and it shall be taken as such,” which is obviously there so people with half a brain wouldn’t eat plates of raw meat from between a dead lady’s legs.
